From home to inpatient care
Sometimes the transition from home to inpatient care can involve feelings of guilt for the caregiver. It is true that hospital staff cannot provide one on one care as you may have done at home. We won't know those intimate preferences that you have learnt over a lifetime. Your involvement with your family member does not, however, end at the hospital door.

What can you expect
Most aged people prefer to remain in their own home and for many this is possible. But for approximately 8% of those aged over 65 this is not the most practical or safe option. Althorp Private Hospital provides professional nursing care for people from Tauranga and surrounding districts.
